Live Jazz in Cancún
The best live Jazz and Fusion in downtown Cancún
The best place for live music in Cancún (mostly Jazz and Fusion) is Roots Jazz Club. The place is a local favorite and the food is also quite good. A great place to listen to live Jazz and Fusion in downtown Cancún. Don’t miss the Jazz-Flamenco fusion that is performed regularly. Things get hopping after 11 pm, so don’t be an early bird. An excellent place to go with your partner, friend, or date. Though very small, it provides good service and food coupled with an intimate, front row, live music experience. The German owner is also the Emcee, and gets progressively more hammered as the night progresses – but that’s half the fun! This is a mostly over 30’s crowd of music aficionados. Roots is located in an alley between Parque De Las Palapas and Tulum Avenue. About a 7 minute walk from Art Deco Suites. To get there, turn right after our gate, hook an immediate right at the park, and walk to the Parque De Las Palapas (about 4 minutes) then cross the Parque and ask anyone for “Roots”. You can listen to some surpassingly good bands here.
A newcomer to the live music scene is Muleiros Lounge located in plaza Hong Kong (a 15 minute walk from Art Deco Suites). Their information is a s follows and they have a website with a calendar of events.
